Select "Settings", and then click on "Preferences" from the menu. (Fig. 1)

The "Preferences" dialog box will appear. Click the "Internet Properties (WWW)" link. (Fig. 2)

The "AOL Internet Properties" dialog box will appear next, click the "Web Graphics" tab and CHECK the "Never compress graphics" checkbox, then click "Apply". (Fig. 3)

Next, click the "General" tab and change "Days to keep pages in history" to "0" (zero), then click "Apply". (Fig. 4)

Next, click the "Delete Files" button to clear the cache. Depending on your version of Internet Explorer, you may see a checkbox to "Delete all offline content". If you do, check this box to delete web site files currently stored on your computer's hard drive. To avoid this from happening in the future, click "Settings" and then click the circle next to "Every visit to the page". (Fig. 5a & 5b)

After you have completed these five steps, click "OK".
You should quit and restart the America Online program for the above changes
to take effect.
